My name is Mylene Brousseau. I started Equilibrium Fitness to fulfill my desire of offering a fitness program accessible and achievable for people coming from all walks of life.
After witnessing for years men and women with a desire of exercising and not feeling like they belong in a gym or in a running clinic, I decided to create a unique concept that would be suitable for every age group, fitness level, and body composition...
As a former school teacher, education is a major component of my program. It is my way of helping people with taking charge of their personal health and well-being. My gentle approach naturally helps my clients build trust in their abilities, no matter what fitness level they' start at. I am very committed to providing an enjoyable, supportive learning environment. I am very proud to be the only Outdoor Fitness Specialist in Canada and I feel blessed to have found such a fulfilling mission.
In my free time, you can always find me in my kitchen cooking a healthy meal, hiking a mountain, practicing yoga, kayaking on the ocean or where I feel I belong...on my surfboard on top of a wave!
My promise to you is a truly personal service that will go beyond your expectations. If you are ready to make a change, I will teach you how.Mylene Brousseau

Stephanie is currently working on her Exercise and Athletic Therapy degree and works with clients ranging from rehabilitation to elite sport performance. She has competed nationally and internationally in both cycling and cross-country skiing. Following that she was the victim of a car accident which lead her to full time rehab for a number of years. From her personal experiences, she has a unique ability to relate to clients from a variety of backgrounds. Witnessing the lack of altruistic mentors in the fitness industry, Stephanie is joining Equilibrium Fitness to offer unique programs, truly personalized fitness training and memorable retreat opportunities.
Being from a mixed familly, I was lucky to be exposed to a variety of foods with amazing flavours at a young age. However, my excitement and adoration for food really started when my Doctor diagnosed me as pre-diabetic about 10 years ago. I eagerly began caring for myself by preparing delicious, diabetic friendly meals.
I eventually graduated from one of Canada’s top Culinary Arts Programs (SAIT) and then worked at River Cafe and Red Tree Catering, as well as cooking for private clients. With a plan and long-term commitment,I did also stabilize my pre-diabetic condition through my culinary work. My successes inspired me to create my ideal culinary business, Dinners by Design, which focuses on creative solutions for people coping with today’s lifestyle challenges. I greatly respect the power of food.

After making a vow ‘to be of service,’ I retired from a career in adult education, trained as an end-of-life care counsellor, worked in spiritual care at Victoria Hospice, and now volunteer with the BC Cancer Agency and Sandringham Care Centre.
