Why Outside?

sense

Equilibrium's outdoor training program magnifies results on a deeper level:

  • It develops body awareness (there are no mirrors to guide you outside).
  • It improves mental acuity and proprioceptive awareness; concentration is a must when walking on unstable terrains.
  • It deepens environmental appreciation and connection.
  • It supports spiritual awakening and overall sense of well-being.
  • It enhances motivation and beats monotony as no two workouts are ever alike!

Reap the benefits of serenity and calm that Mother Nature has to offer...

Why else should you be training outside? Here are a few facts:

  • Your body works harder and burns more calories by having to constantly adjust to uneven, ever-changing terrains (sand or rock beaches, woodchip trails, pavements, inclines, declines...).
  • Having to keep warm on sometimes cooler days also requires your body to put forth a greater effort and again, burn more calories.
  • The light and heat from the sun are indispensable to all nature. Humanity is part of nature! It’s a proven fact that human beings require at least 20 minutes a day of sunlight for hormonal regularity, well being, vitality and happiness. The outdoor premise of Equilibrium's workouts adds a therapeutic quality to your workout; the connection with the environment being soothing, restorative and healing.
  • Vitamin D is one of the most frequent nutritional deficiency. Its intake occurs in two forms, one of which being formed in human skin by exposure to sunlight.
